Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
